my first attempt didn't turn out like i wanted, but that's part of the process. learn something new, then apply it to the next piece.
part of my process is trying to find a characters voice. to get a feel for them, so to speak. if there isn't much reference to draw from, then i have to make it up as i go. that usually involves lots of sketches. in other words, i like the characters i draw to be able to speak on their own, and be able to tell you who they are. As a first impression, i'm not sure "this" is Faye. however, it's my best guess....
